Angela Wong
Senior Principal Consultant
Angela graduated with a Degree in Marketing from SIM University before joining People Profilers in 2004. Since then, she has accumulated extensive experience in executive search within the engineering sectors, especially for the Oil & Gas, Construction and Chemical industries.
Angela has helped companies find highly skilled resources through her extensive network and search skills, with many of her clients still engaging her services after almost a decade.
Angela’s dazzling smile is an accurate indicator of her equally brilliant work ethic. With an academic background in marketing, Angela has been with People Profilers for 13 years. Her consistently impressive portfolio of work has seen her climb steadily, to the position of manager she now holds.
Angela is adept in filling any sort of positions, from junior to senior level, or temporary to contract or permanent staff. Even her range of client industries are equally extensive, ranging from technical sectors like chemicals and construction, to administrative and financial sectors. One thing that’s common regardless of the client industry, notes Angela, is that they all face issues with headcount constraints, and receiving a flood of recommended candidates, many of whom are unsuitable for the job. On her part, Angela is careful to not exacerbate her clients’ problems. Any candidate recommended by her must have passed through a detailed interview process, including personal discussions to evaluate their goals and interests.
If she were asked what recruitment is all about, Angela would say without hesitation, “Fit, of course!”. Indeed, Angela takes extreme effort to seek to understand both client and candidate. Their attitudes, cultures, expectations, goals, and career objectives. In doing so, Angela can identify how well the two fit together. Her recommendations are usually spot on, fuelled by her interpersonal skills and empathetic abilities.
Angela advises others in similar industries and candidates seeking jobs that relationships are an often-overlooked aspect of the trade. She has spent her entire career building them. Additionally, one must keep oneself updated on industry updates and movements in the market.
